It was so hard for me not to do the ending that everyone (including myself) wanted. But I knew the story had to go this way, to make it more real and reach deeper inside to tug on us. The entire time I was writing the happy moments, I knew how it was going to end, and each one was so bittersweet. And writing Jim's death...I got teared up, and if I didn't know how to touch type I wouldn't have been able to continue! I'm very glad that it was able to touch you the same!
And thank you, very much, for telling me that - you have no idea how much your opinion means to me :D Oh -- and thank you for organizing the Advent Calendar, so all of us can have so many wonderful stories to read!
